Senior Leasing Agent- Gallery 459

GREAT time to grow your customer service or retail experience into a career in real estate! Compensation for a Senior Leasing Agent is $25 - $27 per hour (depending on experience) Schedule is full time- Thursday to Monday, 9 am to 6 pm. This position may require work on Saturday and Sunday.

The Senior Leasing Agent is to facilitate and execute all activities associated with the leasing of homes and/or apartments at the direction of the Property Manager and/or Assistant Manager. Includes, but is not limited to, providing tours and information, greeting prospects, answering phones, scheduling visits, taking applications, filing, and delivering notices.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Tour property and lease apartments to prospective residents.
  • Prepare "model" apartment for showing to prospective residents (vacuum, dust, lighting).
  • Maintain a clean, neat and orderly workstation, sales and management office.
  • Be aware of the cleanliness of the property, its grounds and surrounding areas to ensure an attractive "curb appeal" to prospective residents.
  • Thorough knowledge of lease terms, specifications, Fair Housing and community policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of required telephone and sales techniques.
  • Knowledgeable of current rental rates, sizes, locations and amenities of the property.
  • Maintain contact with all apartment locator services and local businesses to provide informational material. Update periodically.
  • Responsible for shopping competitive properties.
  • Develop full knowledge of application information required, screening processes and policies regarding rentals.
  • Develop and maintain an on-going resident retention program under direction of Community Manager.
  • Responsible for proper maintenance of all resident and property files.
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating Concierge Book, Property Information Handbook and Advertising Logbook.
  • Efficient and timely processing of all required administrative forms, reports and related information.
  • Flexibility in workdays and work schedule.
  • Responsible for reporting unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property or residents.
  • Courteous, efficient handling of resident and vendor requests and complaints.
  • Responsible for always maintaining a professional appearance and attitude.
  • Be aware of and always operate within OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and company Safety policies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as leasing agent for a multifamily urban or suburban property, of at least 100 units.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months' related customer service experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements: Extensive mobility required. Must be able to perform the physical functions of the position, which may include, but are not limited to: ability to walk property, including 4 flights of stairs, to complete physical inspections, deliver resident communications, and show apartments. Significant Typing and computer use required.
